Nancy has been active in the Toronto dog training community since the early 2000's, offering both group and private classes in basic manners, behavioral modification, and both agility and rally obedience coaching at a recreational level. Nancy has a pair of Icelandic sheepdogs, Rif and Aska, who enjoy Rally-O and backyard agility.

What We Offer

Puppy Foundations

Our Puppy Foundations class is the perfect way to start your puppy. This class runs for 5 weeks during your puppy's critical social development period. Together we will build positive associations for all the things your puppy will experience in the real world and learn appropriate interactions with people and playmates.
We will give you the tools you need to guide your puppy through housebreaking, crate training, chewing, barking and more. Make trips to the vet less stressful by teaching your puppy to enjoy being handled and examined.
Instead of obedience this class focuses on working with your dog around distractions, impulse control, indentifying body language, and setting your puppy up for sucess.
Requirements: This class is for puppies under 4 months old. Proof of vaccinations is required.

Obedience One
This 5 week class is an introduction to classical and operant conditioning. Students will learn the core principles of dog training and how to apply them to companion dogs. All of our training is reward and play-based.
We will cover the behaviors most useful for pet dog owners such as sit, down, come, loose leash walking, handler focus, greeting people, handling/grooming, and more. Let us set you up for success by troubleshooting common behavior issues you may experience in an urban environment.Obedience Two will be realeased shortly.
Requirements: Proof of vaccination is required. Please bring your dog's favorite treats and a treat pouch for easy access. Our class are 2-4 dogs, but may not be appropriate for dogs with big feelings.

What our clients have to say

"We highly recommend Natalie as a trainer! We needed personalized training in loose-leash walking for Milton, our 2-year lab ,and our Aussie puppy, Hattie has a nervous temperament and as an Aussie reacted to everything in our lively downtown neighbourhood and Milton would pull hard when excited. Through Natalie’s patience and knowledge, we have two excellent walkers and well-socialized dogs who do well on- and off-leash. Best of all we learned how to predict what our pups need to help them thrive. Natalie also helped us manage and train two dogs in the house. Natalie was available by phone for questions in between training sessions. The dogs absolutely adore her! Thank you for changing all of our lives!" F.D. "

"Nancy started walking our first dog 18 years ago, when a local dog trainer highly recommended her. And we enjoyed 15 years of exceptional care. When our beloved "Ellis" passed on, and we got a new pup a year later, Nancy started walking our second generation pet! Nancy knows and cares about dogs like no one else we've met. She's been a fantastic support and resource to us for almost 20 years. There may be flashier dog walking services out there, but if you want someone who's truly tuned into what your dog wants and needs, there's no one better." P.R.
